Class Updates

  • Jason B. Whiting's Friday class at 11:10 in 207 MARB has been cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance.

  • The Tuesday-Friday schedule for 222 MARB at 4:30 p.m. has changed. The topic, “When Loved Ones Leave the Church,” will still be addressed, but as a panel discussion on Tuesday only, with panelists Jeffery C. Strong, Jenet J. Erickson, and W. Justin Dyer. The Wednesday through Friday classes will not be held in 222 MARB.

  • The Tuesday-Friday classes in 377 CB at 4:30 p.m. by Eric Orr have been canceled due to unexpected family circumstances.

General Updates

  • Location Change: Brigham's Wagon, BYU's new food truck service, will now be at Brigham's Square between the WSC and the Harold B. Lee Library (not at the Marriott Center as listed in the program booklet).

Changing Lives in China: The BYU China Teachers Program. Join us for an informational session on the work that the program is doing in universities across China and how you can participate. Thursday, August 20, 12:30 p.m. or 1:50 p.m. in Room 238 HRCB (South of the Harold B. Lee Library).

BYU College of Nursing: Expressions of Light: As a registered nurse, how have you shared the light of BYU? In 2027, the BYU College of Nursing is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. As part of the celebration, the Alumni Chapter is creating a compilation of stories, songs, art or poetry that reflects the above question. Please submit your entries by October 1, 2026, using this link: Expressions of Light Submission.

Note: With the hot temperatures common during the program, please be careful to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible, and pace yourself. Watch for symptoms of heat illness: dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps, and confusion. Seek medical attention if you or someone you know experiences these symptoms.
